Two Bach Cantatas at St Canice's Cathedral
Camerata Kilkenny and four soloists filmed in the atmosphere of St Canice's Cathedral.
The project
Music in Kilkenny and Camerata Kilkenny presented Bach's Actus Tragicus, BWV 106, and Komm, du süße Todesstunde, BWV 161, as an online concert in May 2021.
Filmed under Covid protocols, the coverage holds the shape of the ensemble while using the cathedral's stone, stained glass and timber roof to preserve a strong sense of the performance space.
